go to gamespot.com there is a demo vid of it and also a interview vid for it. they are going to the roots of s1 and s2. that crossroads thing ur talking about is and expanded version of crossroads to hold 32 people. owned. but zipper isnt out of it, they're working on the real socom 4 which is said to be out sometime around september 2008. the reason for being so long is for it not to be another garbage socom 3. ownedededed.

That is the link to the video section for SOCOM:Confrontation. Here's the scoop. This is NOT socom 4. This is an online game ONLY. Its being development by Slant Six (I believe this is the name). This online-only game goes back to the roots of SOCOM: 1 and SOCOM: 2, for instance, an expanded Crossroads (as seen in the stage demo video on that site) has been confirmed. This is supposed to be released this holiday season. Where is Zipper you say???

They are working on the actual NEW Socom game to be released sometime in 2008. This game will have a single and multiplayer aspect. They are taking so much time so they can bring the franchise to new places. Hopefully this wont be another SOCOM 3.

Just remember the SOCOM: Confrontations graphics aren't the best in the world, but they are hell of alot better than any of the ps2 titles. BUT the gameplay looks awesome

Rumble just makes the controller heavier... I light the non rumble... never used it... always turned it off because most of mine like to break out of the controller and hang loose. I'm glad they got rid of it (Or should I say got sued by... um... was it immerson?) because it only rumbled if someone was shooting you... I usually look on screen for which direction they are shooting from. I'm sure that in 20 years we will have either full body suits... or some kind of chip thats implemented into our brains like the matrix...

i think they came out with an adapter thing that u can use ur ps2 contoller for ps3. not sure if it rumbles tho

They're designing the SOFTWARE to be rumble enabled.

BUT, Sony may just want to sell it like they did Dualshocks for the PS1...as a second tier accessory.

Bottom line you CAN get rumble for your PS3 if the software has it built into the code. The PS3 is just like any other computer, it only does what the software tells it. So if the Software says rumble, and you have a Rumble controller...Do the math.

Game was horrible. completely different. Slant six sucks. Zipper later made MAG and currently SOCOM 4 due to release Dec. 1st 2010

This game is ok...but I'm not in love with it like SOME people. *cough Scrappy * cough. lol.

I hope socom 4 is much better.
